How HRA Exemption is Determined?
The exempt HRA is the minimum of the following three amounts:
- Actual HRA received from employer.
- Rent paid minus 10% of (Basic Salary + DA).
- 50% of Basic Salary (for Metros) or 40% (for Non-Metros).
