QR Code Marketing
Master the art of bridgeing offline and online customer experiences.
QR codes have seen a massive resurgence in recent years. From contactless menus to digital business cards, they provide a friction-less way to direct customers to specific URLs. However, many businesses fail to maximize their potential due to poor implementation.
1. Always Provide a Call to Action (CTA)
Don't just print a "naked" QR code. Tell users what to expect when they scan it. Use phrases like "Scan to View Menu," "Scan for 10% Discount," or "Scan to Join our Newsletter."
2. Optimize the Landing Page
The most common mistake is sending users to a desktop-only website. Ensure the destination URL is mobile-responsive, fast-loading, and provides the value promised in the CTA.
3. Consider Placement and Size
A QR code on a moving vehicle or a distant billboard is hard to scan. Ensure the code is large enough (at least 2cm x 2cm for close-range) and placed on stable surfaces at eye level.
4. Test Before You Print
QR codes can become unscannable if the contrast is too low or if they are printed on reflective surfaces. Always test your code with multiple devices and scanning apps before a large-scale print run.
